| June 7, 2019 10:12 AM

Great Art on the Screen presents “Water Lilies of Monet: The Magic of Water and Light” at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center.

This is the last in the 2019 Great Art on Screen series that has been exceptionally well-received by Flathead Valley audiences. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for students (K-12), and $10 for college students. Tickets may be purchased by cash or check at the door.

Viewers will journey through the masterpieces and obsessions of the genius and founder of Impressionism, Claude Monet. Art-world disruptor at the turn of the 20th century whose obsession with capturing light and water broke all convention, Monet revolutionized Modern Art with his timeless masterpieces. Monet scholars will lead in-depth, exclusive tours of the largest collections of Monet’s lilies housed in the Musee Marmottan Monet, the Orsay Museum, La Musee de L’Orangerie, and in Monet’s own house and gardens at Giverny, the site where his fascination for water lilies was born. This documentary was produced by Experience/HD and is approximately 80 minutes long.
