Head-on crash kills woman in Lake County

A 95-year-old Butte woman died in a head-on traffic crash Wednesday evening in Lake County.

According to information from the Montana Highway Patrol, a blue Oldsmobile was headed south on Montana 35 when it failed to negotiate a right-hand curve, crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a blue Subaru.

Others involved in the crash were taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson.

No other information was immediately available.
