No sir, you can't shoot that skunk

The Kalispell Police Department was called when someone saw a skunk running across the parking lot at 3:09 a.m. The caller thought the animal could be rabid and he wanted to know if he could shoot it. He was told to not shoot it and he seemed fine with it.

A man left a store after eating deli food without paying for it. After providing a description of him, an officer caught up with him. The man said he forgot his wallet and the officer drove him home to get it. He was told to stay out of the store in the future.

A somewhat impatient man didn’t wait around to discuss an incident in which he believed someone was using his debit card without authorization. He believed he had a suspect, but when an officer made it to the lobby, the man was gone.

A known drug offender was upset because his wife had a restraining order against him and he couldn’t see his kids. A records check indicated there was no order and the man was counseled about his options.

Someone reported an Aussie breed dog went missing. The dog was wearing a white bandanna.

A caller reported seeing smoke, but he quickly determined it was coming from a grill and not a fire. The dispatcher could hear a man in the background stating it was a barbecue.

Someone reported several people were in a barn on the property of a vacant house drinking.

A restaurant employee who became locked out of the establishment while taking the trash out called to tell authorities that if anyone called to report a suspicious person, it was him and not someone up to no good.

A man said his girlfriend went missing while they were grocery shopping. She reportedly said she thought she remembered where she had left her purse last week and left to retrieve it. He said it had been 40 minutes and he couldn’t find her. He said they weren’t having any problems and he wasn’t sure where she went.

A landlord said a heroin addict left a note that he was coming after him after he tried to evict him.

Someone reported her neighbor’s dogs were barking again and she was trying to put her child down for a nap. The caller said the dog barks 24 hours a day, seven days per week, even when the neighbors are home.
