Phyllis M. Reeves, 96

Phyllis M. Reeves, 96, died peacefully on March 2, 2019, at Prestige Assisted Living in Kalispell where she had resided for the past nearly five years.

She was born in Kalispell on Aug. 27, 1922, to James and Florence Lawrence of Dayton, Montana.

She grew up on the west shore of Flathead Lake, the oldest of three children and graduated with the Polson High School Class of 1940.

She married Cleo Reeves on March 21, 1944, and they had been married for 53 years at the time of his passing.

They were the parents of two children, Barbara and Edward, and they lived nearly their entire lives in the Flathead Valley.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cleo, son Edward, and her granddaughter Michelle Coppedge; sister Barbara Bower, and brother James Lawrence.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Mike) Coppedge of Washougal, Washington, stepdaughter Shirley Smith of Kirkland, Washington, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time. Her urn will be placed in the family plot at a later date.
