Officers not hungry for edible evidence

A manager on U.S. 2 in Columbia Falls said someone hopped a fence and trespassed, possibly leaving behind evidence in the form of a sandwich. Flathead County Sheriff’s Office declined to collect the sandwich. Extra patrol was requested.

A Wollan Way resident in Whitefish has a beef with possibly three vocal dogs who allegedly barked all night into the morning. The dogs’ owner reportedly told deputies he had a court date regarding the issue and his dogs protect livestock.

Meanwhile in Kalispell, a Leisure Drive resident was having issues with a nimble collie that keeps jumping a fence and chasing deer on his property.

A woman on Sunnyside Drive in Kalispell reportedly told deputies she periodically feeds grain and hay to horses whose owners she felt did not feed enough, or often enough. She claimed there used to be five horses, but now there were “only two.” Deputies reportedly checked the horses, again, and said they appeared to be of adequate weight and “looked better than they have in past years.” She was advised not to feed the horses unless it was OK by the owners. Maybe the woman just needs to get off her high horse?

Columbia Falls students were purportedly receiving threatening text messages either from, or about ex-boyfriends. The person calling in the report wanted advice about pursuing a civil case.

A Cottonwood Drive resident in Kalispell had enough of loud music that had been playing for hours and alleged it was coming from a “drug house.”

Someone on U.S. in Columbia Falls told officers a skidster reported stolen in February was reportedly sitting at a location waiting to be worked on.

Someone’s sister allegedly had a bleeding head after being assaulted on Bear Cat Trail in Marion.

A small plane not moving on the runway on U.S. 2 in Kalispell was removed.
