Man's karma in question after theft
A man possibly jonesing for alternative medicine was spotted by a clerk who told Kalispell Police Department he attempted to steal essential oils and beet root powder.
Drug deals were reportedly going on throughout the day at a hotel according to someone who also reported a chubby man and woman sitting in a gold vehicle smoking methamphetamine. A second suspicious vehicle was seen parked by dumpsters with a woman inside. A woman with a large neck tattoo was seen walking out the front entrance holding two black bags.
Main Street employees were suspicious of people and a vehicle parked near a bank. The people allegedly walked down an alley several times doing “a lot of exchanges” with others who approached the vehicle, which had two different license plates.
A male got out of his vehicle on U.S. 93 and yelled at a woman in another vehicle when she reportedly “almost” pinned him against his vehicle. Then, the vehicles were seen weaving in and out of traffic. Both parties were counseled.
Someone alleged that a person in a camper in an alley behind 10th Avenue West was dumping tanks of sewage into the alley. When dispatchers placed them on hold to answer a 911 emergency, they hung up. Police didn’t observe anything and the claims deemed unfounded.
Someone reported several vehicles were parked in handicapped spaces without the proper permits.
An unknown man threatened to kill another man because he supposedly had something to do with his son being in prison.
Someone told police about a strange chemical odor coming from an apartment that purportedly had lots of traffic on a daily basis. Police couldn’t determine anything unusual.
Someone’s son was driving a vehicle that caught on fire. The fire was extinguished and no one was injured.
A confused man on Charlotte Avenue claimed his dog was stolen and was inside someone’s house. Then he said the person who took the dog was dressed in camo and was hiding in trees. Police were cautioned that the man was known to carry many concealed weapons, for being combative with officers and using drugs. The man’s brother later called police looking for him because he “just up and left the hospital.”
A parent was concerned that a 24-year-old man was using fake social media accounts to follow his 17-year-old daughter and felt the man was stalking her. He said the man also used the accounts to say negative things about him.
Dispatchers received a 911 call from a deactivated phone and heard what sounded like the high-pitched screams of a young male, but they couldn’t make out what was being said. Officers were unable to locate anyone.
Someone had a vehicle towed that had been sitting on private property for four months.
