Polson whips Flathead, Glacier routs Hellgate

In non-conference softball play at Kidsports Complex, the Polson Pirates won a 19-1 romp over the Flathead Bravettes on Thursday.

Flathead (2-13) has seven players injured between its varsity and junior varsity squads.

“They keep working,” Flathead coach Jack Foster said.

Illysa Centner pitched and went 1-2 at the plate. Brianna Morales hit two balls on two tries.

Sydney Olson was 1 for 2 and had one RBI.

Flathead scored one run, in the fourth inning.

Polson scored 19 runs on 14 hits, including nine runs in the fourth inning.

Kallie Finkbeiner went 3 for 3 at the plate for the Pirates.

Flathead hosts Hellgate today at 6 p.m. for a conference match at Kidsports.

MISSOULA — The Glacier Wolfpack coasted to a 21-0 win in a Western AA conference game against Missoula Hellgate.

Glacier scored 10 runs in the fifth inning.

Sage Vanterpool pitched a five-inning no-hitter, homered, and was 3 for 4 at the plate with four RBIs.

Catcher Kynzie Mohl doubled and was 2 for 2 at the plate with one RBI.

Sammie Labrum had three doubles, five RBIs and was 4 of 5 at bat.

Halle Schroeder tripled and had one RBI.

Jennifer Wallace and Addie Labrum both hit 2 for 2 at the plate.

Glacier hosts Frenchtown on Saturday for a non-conference game at 11 a.m.

Columbia Falls is 8-8 overall and 4-1 in conference.

Ronan is 4-9 and 1-3.

The Wildkats’ Kaylee Ashe, Alyssa Blankenship and Trista Cowan each went 3 for 4 at the plate.

Ashe tripled and homered and Ryley Kehr doubled.

Cowan homered and had three RBIs.
