Man fired up after going 'cold turkey'

A man was reported to Kalispell Police Department for making threats toward staff and allegedly stated, possibly in an email, that he was off his pain meds “cold turkey” and was fired up and unhappy with what he perceived “as government agencies not talking to each other.” He purportedly made statements about “how he can see why people go off their meds and post offices get blown up.”

A purported small business owner called police saying they believed a customer was trying to use a stolen credit card to pay for a catering job.

A woman called police telling them she thought a man who was in a horrible mood was doing methamphetamine in pill form and was “lit” all the time was out on probation and was not supposed to be in Flathead County. She claimed he might become violent with law enforcement, as he had been with his mother in the past.

Three teens who got off a school bus were seen messing around with mailboxes and supposedly took off when someone approached them.

Someone saw two kids fall off their bicycles and they appeared injured. One of the children may have been knocked out.

Someone was concerned that a man might drive after he left a bar because he was purportedly “tweaked out.” Police arrived to find the man smoking a cigarette outside and everything appeared OK.

A woman reported prescription drugs and her daughter’s cell phone were stolen from her home by her husband’s friend’s children.

Someone reportedly almost hit an intoxicated pedestrian who stumbled out on the road.

Someone’s ears were allegedly assaulted by the noise of a neighbor’s loud TV and loud bass. This was reportedly an ongoing issue at night.

A woman who was slurring kept yelling “no,” and told police she thought someone was trying to get into her room using a knife and heard male and female voices.

She reportedly was talking very fast and repeating “it’s real spooky around here, real bad, real bad.” She said she had an emergency and needed and officer and to go to the hospital, but wouldn’t tell dispatchers where she was exactly. She reportedly said she had Tourette syndrome and used methampehtamine.

A pull camper was reportedly left for days at a time on the street unhooked to anything.

A resident wanted an officer to contact Legends Stadium and have them make an announcement regarding parking in the street and walking through private property.

An off-duty officer called in a report of suspicious activity regarding two men in a vehicle drinking alcohol or involved in a drug deal.

A store manager claimed a woman “took a big bag of stuff” and wanted her never to return on the property.
