Chickens removed, but bunnies left behind

Someone on Ferndale Drive in Bigfork was sick of waiting on someone who was supposed to remove animals off her property, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. While the person removed chickens, there were still six rabbits remaining. She really didn’t want the animal owner back on the property, but said she would tell them they had until next week or she would call deputies back.

A rude man who appeared intoxicated allegedly left his beat-up pickup partially blocking a woman’s driveway on Rose Crossing, then walked down the road.

Someone was reportedly hitting the side of a Fourth Avenue house in Hungry Horse with a hammer, possibly after kicking a woman out.

A man lying on a bed and yelling had been punching things in a house on Commerce Street in Bigfork.

An injured turkey on Deer Trail in Whitefish was not moving, so a caller thought it needed to be put down. Officers determined the turkey was not as sick as previously thought and would “let nature take its course.”

According to Kalispell Police Department logs, two men approached a caller with a wad of cash and asked if he wanted to make “real money.”

A phone and dirt bike were reported stolen from a home.

A suspicious guy sitting in a beat-up pickup was hitting on a woman and saying creepy things. Police said nothing the man was doing was illegal, but suggested she could file a restraining order.

A teen was suspected of stealing a pack of smokes from a van.

A driver slammed into a power pole and took off.

An HOA president reported a neighbor who was seen shooting at animals in their backyard.
