Nancy Lucille Jensen, 82

Nancy Lucille Jensen, 82, of Kalispell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena.

She was born Oct. 6, 1936, in Conrad to William and Esther McClain. Nancy was the beloved wife and best friend of her one and only love of 65 years, the late Bruce Henry Jensen, of Kalispell.

In 1961 the young couple moved to Kalispell. Bruce and Nancy lived many happy years in the Flathead Valley and she especially enjoyed their home on Flathead Lake.

Nancy treasured the outdoors and loved gardening. With a cocker spaniel along her side she grew the most beautiful flowers shrubs and trees. Their home and gardens were always kept in perfect condition.

Nancy was a foster parent and an adoptive mother who has devoted her life to helping others. In June of 1978, Nancy earned an Associate of Arts degree from Flathead Valley Community College. Nancy was very proud to serve as Montana’s Northwest regional director for the Head Start program.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce.

She is survived by four children, Mike Jensen, Robin Jensen Bare, Jeff Jensen and Raiko Jensen Henderson, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A wonderful mother, grandmother and wife, Nance was truly an incredible person that will be greatly missed. Heaven gained a very special angel on May 7, 2019.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home on 525 S. Main Street. Interment will follow at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell.
