Carol Ruth (Wright) Lucero, 67

Carol Ruth (Wright) Lucero, 67, passed away in Kalispell on May 11, 2019. Carol was born on Dec. 11, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Melvin and Muriel (Dement) Wright.

Carol married Sam Lucero in San Leandro, California, in 1971. From this 48-year marriage came two children, Samuel Lucero IV and Amoreena Lucero.

During her life, Carol had many interests. She worked in management and care-giving, but her heart was in the community. She was actively involved in Canvas Church and did outreach in the community such as “Lunch Buddies” and even spent some time doing mission work in Mexico with the Santa Fe, New Mexico Church.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Wright; mother, Muriel Wright; father-in-law, Samuel Lucero; and mother-in-law, Ida Lucero.

She is survived by her husband, Sam Lucero III; son, Sam (Lindsey) Lucero IV; daughter, Amoreena (Greg) Brown; sister, Elayne Powell; and her grandchildren, Dominic, Daniel and Charlotte.
