Butte beats Glacier in four in volleyball playoff opener

Class AA volleyball playoffs are getting underway this week across the state.

The Glacier Wolfpack hosted Butte in its first playoff game and lost in four sets on Tuesday.

Scores were 28-26, 28-26, 23-28, 25-17.

Sidney Gulick and Kynzie Mohl led the Wolfpack with 19 and 13 of the team’s 48 kills.

Mohl also had 10 digs.

Alyssa AuClaire paced Glacier with 21 of 54 digs.

Scooping up three blocks was Aubrie Rademacher.

Kacey Hill served three aces.

Glacier’s record falls to 7-8 in conference and 10-15 overall.

In other playoff news, Helena Capital defeated Missoula Hellgate in three sets, 25-17, 25-15, 25-15, on Tuesday.

Montana Class AA playoff action continues Thursday with Flathead visiting Helena High for a 6 p.m. game.
