Judy Lynn Roquette Larson, 61

| November 6, 2019 4:00 AM

On Nov. 2, 2019, at approximately 8:15 p.m., the world lost its brightest light. Judy Lynn Roquette Larson (Kalispell) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Her sharp wit and love of joking carried with her all the way up to the end.

Judy, daughter of the late Ellen Verdelle “Vert” Roquette and the late Francis “Stub” Roquette, was born May 6, 1958, in South Dakota. She was the youngest of three girls, and as the baby she was loved tremendously by her parents and her two sisters, Sandy and Sue. As a young girl, her love for horses and competing was evident by the large amount of trophies and ribbons that her family proudly displayed at their home in Bismarck, North Dakota. After high school, she went on to compete at rodeos and would have two children, Anne “Annie” and Brad from her union with Gary Hepper (Fort Klamath, Oregon).

She would eventually marry her life partner, Kim Larson, and would spend the remaining 23 years of her life being loved dearly by him. They had Scott Thomas Larson from this union and he would forever be her “baby boy.”

Judy loved all three of her children deeply and spent many moments attending all their events, throwing amazing birthday parties, and spoiling them rotten on holidays. She also loved her three grandchildren, Adam, Allie and Dylan Hepper with all of her being. She loved to spoil them with toys and goodies that she knew would defy their parents’ wishes because she believed that “Grandmas are supposed to be fun!”

She spent many years as a pillar of the Kalispell community through her partnership with Tamara Williams as owners of Insty Prints on Main. Those lucky to have encountered her there remember her as warm, fun, and always smiling with a quick wit that kept everyone on their toes. She also loved spending every Halloween celebrating her love of Dolly Parton with her many variations of Dolly costumes that her co-workers and customers always loved. Her relationship with Tamara was far more than business partners; they were best friends and this bond would hold strong up until the day she passed.

Judy loved with all of her heart and never met a stranger. She loved entertaining, laughing and joking, and spending time with her many friends and family. She lived a life so full of love that it could have filled many lifetimes. She was an amazing, magical and loving woman and her absence will be felt tremendously by those that loved her.

Judy will be missed greatly by her family and friends, husband Kim Larson (Kalispell), daughter Anne Roquette (Dallas, son Brad Hepper (Klamath Falls) and his wife Rita Chappell, son Scott Larson (Billings), her three grandchildren, Adam, Allie and Dylan (all of Klamath Falls), sister Sandy Helgeson (Windsor, Colorado) and her husband Jerry Helgeson, sister Sue Gersick (Colorado Springs, Colorado) and her husband Joe Gersick, Tamara Williams (Kalispell) and her husband Chuck Williams, her Insty Prints family, and her many, many friends and family throughout the Flathead Valley and the rest of the U.S.

Instead of a funeral service, the family will be holding a celebration of life party with the date to be announced, for all of those that wish to express their love for this remarkable woman and share our many stories.

Since she loved her rescued animals so much as well, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation in her name to your local animal shelter.

We love and miss you Mom! And this isn’t a “goodbye” but a “see you later” as we know you are looking down on us from heaven with a smile, a heart full of love, and waiting to pull her next prank!
