C-Falls headed to Western A Divisional volleyball semifinal

DILLON — The Columbia Falls Wildkats are undefeated in pool play after the first day of action at the Western A Divisional volleyball tournament, which runs through Saturday in Dillon.

Columbia Falls beat Stevensville and Butte Central to advance to the semifinal game versus Corvallis, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. today.

Corvallis beat Polson in quarterfinals and Libby in the first round.

In loser-out play, Polson will face the winner of Whitefish vs. Stevensville at 4 p.m. today.

Whitefish lost its first-round game to Butte Central earlier in the day.

Butte Central plays the winner of the Dillon vs. Libby game at 2 p.m.

Stevi and Whitefish are scheduled to play at 2 p.m. and Dillon and Libby will play at 10 a.m.

The championship game is 12 p.m. on Saturday.

The top four teams go to the state tournament in Bozeman next weekend.
