Jon Paul Engle, 33

| November 15, 2019 4:00 AM

Jon Paul Engle, a son, brother and friend, passed away on Nov. 11, 2019.

He was born Aug. 8, 1986.

Ever the explorer, Jon continued to dive deep, both inwardly and out, questioning every purpose and attempting to find every answer for many of life’s great mysteries.

If it is actually possible to be honest to a fault, that would describe Jon better than most (although he would never agree with it being considered a flaw). A gentle soul, those who were fortunate enough to have known him tended to be drawn to his infectious outlook on life and dive headfirst attitude.

Within the span of his all too short life, it would be safe to assume that he experienced more than most. At one point a wildly successful small business owner, Jon was one of the lucky few who refused to take the traditional route, yet still come out on top.

Whether it be life, love, or the general cause and effect of life’s highs and lows, Jon could always be counted on to be a few steps ahead.

Although Jon’s passing was all too sudden, he never forgot his friends or family, even through his darkest times. He wanted all who knew and loved him to know that he cared.

A memorial will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Evergreen. All are welcome to come and share a story, and help us celebrate the life of one of the most genuine people that many of us have ever been lucky enough to know.
