Law agencies investigating death of man on bypass
At about 2 p.m. Monday the Kalispell Police Department responded to a report of a man outside the chain link fence on the Three Mile Drive overpass above the U.S. 93 bypass.
A short time later dispatch received a call advising a man had been hit on the bypass roadway at that same location, according to a press release from Kalispell Police Chief Doug Overman.
Kalispell Police officers, along with Kalispell Fire and West Valley Fire, responded to find a 50 year-old Kalispell man deceased. No foul play is suspected.
Law enforcement agencies issued an alert following the incident, asking motorists to seek an alternative route during the afternoon hours as they investigated the scene at the bypass.
The Kalispell Police Department is conducting an on-going investigation with the assistance of the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Highway Patrol. The man’s identity is pending family notification.
