Judy Kay Brown, 80

Judy Kay Brown, 80, passed away on Nov. 17, 2019, at her home in Kalispell.

Judy was born in Spokane and is the daughter of James Dee Johnston and Florence Lynn Mathison. Judy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ. Judy spent much of her early life in Spokane and graduated from North Central High School. She married George Harold Brown on Nov. 9, 1957, in Spokane. Judy and George have five children and she loved spending time with her family. Judy was a devoted wife and mother. Judy and George raised their family in Spokane and later relocated to Auburn, Washington, for several years before eventually retiring in Kalispell. Judy worked in accounts payable for North Park Racquet Club in Spokane and later at Valley Cities Mental Health in Auburn.

Judy is survived by her children, Deanna Bennett (Doug) of Kalispell, George Brown Jr. (Kathy) of Tumtum, Wash-ington, Patrick Brown (Linda) of Bozeman, Eric Brown (Melissa) of Mesa, Arizona, and David Brown (Manon) of Auburn; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; her brother Jim Johnston (Kay) of Spokane, brother-in-law Richard Huss (Molly) of Spokane; and a large extended family.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband George, her parents, and sister Molly Huss.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel, 1380 Whitefish Stage, Kalispell. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral at noon. Bishop David Wigginton will officiate. Graveside interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, at Greenwood Cemetery, N. 211 Government Way, Spokane, Washington; 509-838-1405.
