Man not fooled by magazine scam

A man told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office he reportedly received a scam phone call from someone claiming to be with Reader’s Digest and wanted to send someone to his house to talk about his winnings or they were going to break his legs. Understandably, the man refused to provide his address. He was provide a phone number to report the phone number.

Someone calling from Stoner Loop in Lakeside reported a man who had supposedly been in a parking lot for “at least an hour” and was getting “really close” to vehicles and flipping people off, which was “not cool” with the caller and they wanted a deputy to tell the man “to knock it off and leave.”

A shop on Cedar Drive in Evergreen was reportedly broken into and a gun, bullets, air pistols, a “very large stereo system,” stolen.

A woman was allegedly standing behind the Lakeside post office on U.S. 93 and “going to the bathroom in the parking lot.”

A man on U.S. 93 in Lakeside was reportedly driving around a building and acting strange. Someone allegedly watched him smoke crack in his truck and drive around the building.
