A caller told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office there was a man “running around in the road, acting like a monkey and taking his clothes off.”

A woman believed her dog was shot, “possibly by a BB gun” because the pet was bleeding from an “obvious .… nickel-sized hole.” She said the injury was “not bad enough to take her to the emergency” veterinarian. She decided to take the dog to the vet the next day and follow up with law enforcement if the vet determined the dog had been shot.

A homeowner was upset because a friend staying with her invited an unfamiliar friend to the house. Before talking to her friend about her extra guest, the woman called the sheriff’s department, but they informed her she would have to be the one to tell her friend to leave. The caller then “became upset” and disconnected.

A man apparently dialed 911 accidentally and was uncooperative with the dispatcher who called him back. He “didn’t want to answer” any questions and repeatedly yelled he was late for work. The sheriff’s office investigated and found multiple warrants for the man.

A vehicle with a man and a woman inside apparently drove around a neighborhood three times and stopped “in front of [a] random house.”

Someone reported a few men “going around selling … vacuums.” He said she “didn’t know what he wanted deputies to do with this information,” be he “believe[d] someone [was] going to be a victim.”

A bank president reported a “panhandler” to the Whitefish Police Department. The suspicious man reportedly had a sign reading, “give me the finger.” The panhandler reportedly made the same illicit gesture to the bank president. The police informed the bank president they could only intervene if the individual was on private property or blocking an exit or the sidewalk since it’s legal to panhandle in Whitefish.

An out-of-town visitor lost his “miniature ‘pomkey’ dog” in Whitefish.

Another pet owner suspected dogs were “being poisoned in the area” after hers got sick one day and “died quickly about 6 hours later.”

A traveler left her car at a train station in a way that was blocking traffic before leaving town for a month. She told the police to “go ahead and tow it.”

A man with a camera installed on his property was accused of violating his brother-in-law’s privacy. His brother-in-law removed the camera so the cameraman called the police.

A “highly intoxicated” man got locked out of his apartment building.
