Undefeated Capital beats Flathead

The Flathead Bravettes lost their third straight game in three sets to undefeated Helena Capital at Flathead High School on Saturday in Western AA volleyball.

Capital won 25-8, 13-25, 25-12, 25-15.

For Flathead, Julia Burden had eight kills, Mayson Moore had all 17 team set assists, Kaitlyn Kalenga had two blocks and Clare Converse served two aces.

The Bravettes fall to 3-4 in conference play and 7-6 overall. Capital, the defending state champion, is 6-0 and 12-0.

Flathead hosts Missoula Big Sky on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. game.

Helena High made quick work of the Glacier Wolfpack, winning in three sets.

Scores for Helena were 25-15, 25-22, 25-12. Helena is the No. 2 team in Western AA.

Glacier’s record is now 4-3 in conference, 5-8 overall.

Aubrie Rademacher led Glacier with 13 kills. Sidney Gulick had seven kills and nine digs.

The Wolfpack next plays Missoula Sentinel at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

TROY — The Eureka Lions downed Troy in three sets.

Scores were 25-16, 25-13, 25-19.

Rhianna Hawkins served nine of Eureka’s 21 aces and had 14 digs. Avory Escobar had seven kills, two blocks and 14 set assists.
