Robin B. Rose, 61

| October 6, 2019 4:00 AM

On the morning of July 20, 2019, Robin B. Rose passed away in his home in Helena after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

He was 61.

He was born December 4, 1957, to Ruth and Jerry Rose in Kalispell where he joined his four older sisters. Later the family grew by another brother and sister. During his youth he attended Kalispell schools and his summers were spent at Schafer Meadows, where his dad was a park ranger. It was here that his love of nature was fostered, as well as his adventurous spirit.

He was a certified iron worker, project manager and a master builder. He was employed by Halliburton, when he was diagnosed with cancer.

In July of 1979 he married Shirley Ackley, and together they had two daughters, Holli and Joslyn.

He was preceded in death by his sister Sue Gideons and father Gerald.

He is survived by his mother Ruth, sisters Sherry, Jo, Gerri and Carla, brother Pat, daughters Holli (Holger) Meyer, Joslyn (Mike) Rose and grandkids Ezra, Haela, Autumn, Drake, Enrya, Lukas and Isaac.

He spent the last of his days doing what he loved the most — time with friends, family and especially his beloved grandkids.

Traveling, kayaking, fishing and anything outdoors, playing cards and enjoying homecooked meals, while occasionally cracking an inappropriate joke — lots of great memories were made in those last two years.

He will be greatly missed. Robin’s earthly remains have been cremated and his family will spread his ashes in his favorite places all over the globe.

There will be a celebration of Robin’s life from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Eagles Lodge in Kalispell.
