Glacier spikers fall to Sentinel

The Glacier Wolfpack dropped in four sets to Missoula Sentinel in Western AA play at Glacier High School on Tuesday.

Scores were 23-25, 15-25, 25-20, 19-25.

Emma Anderson had 15 of 42 team kills and four blocks for Glacier.

Kaylee Fritz had 36 of 37 team assists.

Glacier’s record is 4-4 in conference play and 5-9 overall.

Sentinel improves to 5-3 and 5-7.

The Flathead Bravettes fought to force a fifth set but fell to Missoula Big Sky in the final frame.

Scores were 24-26, 25-14, 17-25, 25-18, 9-14.

Julia Burden had 13 kills and 13 digs. Kaitlyn Kalenga had 13 kills and seven blocks.

Mayson Moore notched 35 of Flathead’s 39 kills.

Flathead falls to 3-5 in Western AA and 7-7 overall. Big Sky is 3-5 in conference and 3-8 overall.

WHITEFISH — The Whitefish Bulldogs fell in four sets to the Polson Lady Pirates in Northwest A action.

Scores were 20-25, 25-23, 17-25, 25-27.

“Rough night for senior night,” Whitefish coach Addy Connelly said. “We had a tough time putting together runs and our emotions were running high. There were glimmers of greatness, we just need to have shining games beginning to end.”

For Polson (11-7), Ara Mercer had 19 of 77 digs. Kobbey Smith had 15 digs and seven service aces.

Luci Ridgeway of Whitefish had three aces and eight kills. Kaiah Moore had 12 kills and 25 digs.
