Penny Arlin Whitson, 53

Penny Arlin Whitson passed away Oct. 4, 2019, in Kalispell.

Deeply missed, forever loved.

Penny was born Sept. 1, 1966. At the age of 3, Penny was adopted from the Philippines by Arthur and Wilma Whitson who had three other older children; her brothers, Mark (Joelle) and Arthur Jr. (Anne), and sister, Piper (Norman).

She is survived by her four children, Shelby (Kenneth, Kenneth Jr. and Kya), Marisa (Steven), Kael, and Jaise.

She began her education in massage therapy in Seattle and owned a successful massage therapy practice. During that time, she became a Reiki master and combined the two healing practices, which lead to her success in massage therapy.

Penny was a high-spirited member of the Bigfork community, and enjoyed being part of such a loving, caring and supportive group of families and friends. She touched countless lives in the community and her positive energy and caring nature will leave a memorable impact on those around her.

A celebration of life, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Atanaha Event Center in Bigfork.
