Police unable to locate metal bangers

Someone allegedly heard “metal hitting metal somewhere in the area” and wanted police to drive through the area. Kalispell Police Department didn’t hear any odd sounds and the person said they no longer heard the noise.

Someone claiming to be an office manager for Fish, Wildlife and Parks told officers there was a white camper with out-of-state license plates in the parking lot with a ladder out “like they were going to stay the night there,” and wanted an officer to move them along. Police made contact with a woman inside the camper, who reportedly said she was waiting to attend meeting and had no intention of camping there.

Someone called police after seeing a truck pulling a camper drive into a parking lot. What supposedly raised their suspicions was that there were five people in the truck and a 12- to 14-year-old girl in the truck bed and they thought it might be a “human trafficking situation.” Police spoke with the group, who appeared normal.

Someone else was suspicious of another truck that pulled into a parking lot because it supposedly had a lot of stereo equipment in the back covered by an old carpet.

A low-hanging utility line was reported in front of Woodland Avenue.

A woman and man were fighting in a gas station parking lot and the caller claimed the woman looked “frightened for her life.” The pair were separated.

Someone reportedly returned home to find a deadbolt door lock sitting at an odd angle and a loose doorknob.

Someone allegedly heard “a woman getting the (expletive) beat out of her,” thuds and a loud “pop.” Officers made contact with various people and talked to a woman who had a black eye, but she claimed it was from being punched by another woman in the canyon the night before.
