Professional saxophonist performs at Whitefish Community Center

Professional saxophonist Rob Verdi will entertain at the Whitefish Community Center at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct.12.

A weekly performer at Disneyland, Verdi also enjoys time on the road playing at interesting local venues. He has played previously at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake and Grouse Mountain Resort. His varied repertoire focuses mostly on Big Band swing and popular jazz standards from the 1930s to the 1950s. Expect to hear tributes to the great music of Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Glen Miller, Nat King Cole, George Gershwin, Cole Porter and others.

Verdi will be traveling with his personal collection of rare and unusual saxophones, some of which he will incorporate into his program as well as some related history.

Admission is $10 for adults, and $5 for seniors or students. Come early for the best seating.
