SPOKANE, Wash. — Saturday was a rough day for the Stillwater Christian Cougar girls soccer team as it dropped two matches during a road trip to Spokane, Wash.

The Cougars fell 1-0 to North West Christian, then were rocked 5-0 by St. George’s.

“We could not find a rhythm today,” said Stillwater coach JR Hemp. “We struggle to challenge for the ball. We had difficulty connecting passes today. We came off a game from (Friday night) and appeared to be fatigued. We had good play by Emma Anderson in the midfield and Addy Cooley on the wing. Linnea Hodgskiss did a good job in goal,” Hemp added.

The Cougars had several second half chances against North West Christian, Hemp said. “But we were unable to convert solid shots on goal.”

He complimed the defensive play of Madi Schwartz and Alex Hudson in that one.

Hodgkiss “made several saves to keep us in the match,” he added.

Sandpoint JV travels Tuesday to Stillwater (9-4-2) for a 2 p.m. match.
