Mike Eldred closes his “On the Stage” 2019 season with an intimate concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, featuring Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year and platinum-selling recording artist Sylvia. General admission tickets for the show at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center are $48, on sale now at www.amazingplacemusic.com/on-the-stage or by calling 406-471-0851.

During her tenure as a solo artist with RCA Records in the 1980s, Sylvia became one of the most celebrated women in country music. She released five albums with a dozen No. 1 and Top Ten hits, sold over four million records, and won multiple awards including Billboard’s No. 1 Country Female Artist. In the 1990s, Sylvia began sharing new facets of her voice and perspective as her own record label, Red Pony Records. Last year, she released the critically acclaimed “It’s All in the Family,” the first ever on which she is a co-writer on the majority of songs.

On her new release, “Second Bloom – The Hits Re-Imagined,” Sylvia uses the life experiences and skills she’s gained as a musician over the last three decades to imbue her greatest hits with new life. The album functions as a bridge from her early career to the present.

In the wake of an exciting series of 2019 concerts, Eldred’s “On The Stage” series is reaching new heights in its second year with multi-award winning recording artists, songwriters and musicians on the roster in Atkinson Hall at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center in 2020.

After a successful fundraising campaign in September and October for his nonprofit company, Amazing Place Music Inc., based in Whitefish and founded by Eldred to produce and present music and performances that will enhance the community and inspire the residents of Flathead Valley, Eldred was able to secure his friends and former touring partners with topnotch talent for these intimate, 100-seat concerts where the audience sits up on the stage with the artists. The feel is casual, comfortable and interactive with artists who are at the top of their craft.

Past On The Stage concerts have included Grammy winner and Songwriter Hall of Fame member Marcus Hummon; Helena native and bluegrass chart-topper Chris Roberts; jazz pianist, conductor and orchestrator Jeff Steinberg; Emmy and CMA-winning songwriter Victoria Shaw; piano virtuoso Philip Fortenberry; and world-class guitarist and orchestrator John Mock.

The 2020 series will include Grammy-winning and Songwriter Hall of Fame member Mike Reid (Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and Tim McGraw’s “Everywhere”) on March 14; Grammy-winning and Songwriter Hall of Fame member Larry Gatlin (Gatlin Brother’s “All The Gold in California” and “Broken Lady”) on June 13; and Grammy-nominated composer, instrumentalist and multi-platinum recording Artist Jim Brickman on Sept. 24.

Season tickets for Mike Eldred Presents “On The Stage” will go on sale Oct. 28 for $150 at www.amazingplacemusic.com/on-the-stage or call 406-471-0851.
