Woman confuses police for taxi service

A woman called the Kalispell Police Department because she was “freezing” and couldn’t get a ride. She was advised that was not an emergency and an officer was going to come talk to her about “the proper use of 911.” The caller subsequently “displayed her distaste” for the dispatcher, asked for the person’s name and threatened to sue. When an officer went looking for her he couldn’t find her.

A woman stole another woman’s identity and went around to area banks attempting to cash a check in her name.

Another woman was seen screaming outside a bank. She promised to “try and keep it down” after she was advised on how to get in touch with the bank and withdraw money.

A neighbor complained about someone blowing leaves into her yard, but the suspicious leaf blower said she didn’t have a gardener and the person renting from her had not been blowing leaves either.

A woman gave another woman a ride, then later showed up banging on the rider’s door and acting “messed up.”

Someone thought three men on bikes with backpacks were suspicious. The police added extra patrol in the area.

A store manager wanted a vehicle to move along after it had been sitting near the store for most of the day. The manager felt the vehicle needed to leave “for the safety of the employees.”

Graffiti, including a pentagram, was reported on the back of a building.

A man called the police with questions about parking rules, but he became “annoyed” when the dispatcher asked him for more information.

Someone called the Columbia Falls Police Department to let them know a portable toilet had been flipped.

A woman wanted the police to tell a man who was sleeping on her couch to leave.

Someone removed a “big rock” from a road in Columbia Falls.

A caller “need[ed] an officer to check a cat that was quarantined for biting.”

Someone thought it was suspicious a man was “walking around with a flashlight,” but it turned out the guy was working at the location and needed some light.
