Pack edged by Mount Spokane
It came down to the wire for the Glacier Wolfpack at Legends Stadium on Friday night against tough Class AA nonconference opponent Mount Spokane,
The Wolfpack lost 38-35 in a nail-biting affair.
Leading 20-17 at the half, Glacier (1-1) gave up 21 points in the third quarter.
“I was really proud of our teams fight,” Glacier coach Grady Bennett said. “We knew Mount Spokane was a great team. We just asked our guys to compete and fight hard. We wanted to our selves a chance to compete in the 4th. Then we scored to go up 27 -14 and then they ripped 3 straight TDs.”
Runningback Kannon Katzer torched the Wolfpack for 255 yards and four touchdowns.
Bennett called Katzer’s performance “outstanding.”
“We moved the ball, Bennett said. “We did things on offense but a couple of plays by him (Katzer) were the difference.”
