Wolfpack beats Butte, Eureka downs T-Falls

The Glacier Wolfpack took Butte to five sets and emerged victorious in a Western AA volleyball game on Saturday at Glacier High School.

Glacier won 18-25, 25-21, 25-16, 23-25, 19-17 and improved to 3-1 in conference play.

Emma Anderson led the Wolfpack with 21 kills and three blocks.

Kaylee Fritz had 56 of 59 assists, two service aces and 10 digs.

EUREKA — The Lions beat Thompson Falls in a highly contested five-set game.

Eureka won 25-16, 18-25, 25-22, 13-25, 15-9.

The Lions had 112 digs to Thompson Falls’ 38 and 54 kills to 47.

The Flathead Bravettes won in four sets over Butte Friday in Western AA play.

“We hit really well tonight,” said Flathead coach Nicole Fairclough. “Julia [Burden] and Clare [Converse] on the outside took care of the ball and made a big impact on offense. We are still working on consistency throughout each game but we had good things going on our side.”

Flathead is 7-3 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

Stillwater Christian School beat the Flathead Valley Home School in MCAA volleyball on Friday.

“The girls served aggressively and consistently. It was great to see them use the momentum created by their serving and make smart, aggressive offensive plays,” Stillwater coach Katie Guthrie said.
