C-Falls' Erickson tops Whitefish Invite field
WHITEFISH — Lara Erickson of Columbia Falls won the girls cross country race at the Whitefish Invitiational at Whitefish Lake Golf Course on Tuesday, with Whitefish’s Jessica Henson and Paetra Cooke placing second and third overall.
Erickson’s time was 20:33.57.
Cooke and Henson’s performances helped lead Whitefish to the team title. Columbia Falls was second.
Whitefish’s Josephine Vardell and Alie Simpson also finished in the top 10 overall.
Rebekah Walker of Columbia Falls placed 12th.
Columbia Falls won the boys team title thanks to four runners placing in the top 10 overall.
Aidan Jarvis placed second, Joe Lamb was fourth and James Role was sixth.
Ronan’s James Normandeau took first in the boys race.
Whitefish was fourth as a team. Miles Vrentas was its highest placed runner in ninth place.
