Arvin G. ‘Buckshot’ Miller, 85
Arvin G. “Buckshot” Miller, 85, passed peacefully from this world on March 28, 2020.
He was born in 1934 in Kalispell to August H. and Ethel E. (Jackson) Miller. He graduated from Flathead County High School.
He married the love of his life, Ayako Eto, on May 4, 1959, in Fukuoka, Japan, and they spent the next 53 years together. Both were avid bowlers.
He was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy. After retiring, he spent the next 21 years working at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service office at the Naval Training Center in San Diego. In 1977 he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting.
He and Ayako subsequently moved from San Diego to Japan, where she was able to spend her remaining years with her family. Following her death in 2012, he returned to Montana.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret E. Jacobson, Arnold H. Miller, Arlene F. Barry, and his twin brother, Marvin G. “Birdseed” Miller.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
