Robert L. Mills, 82, passed away March 28, 2020.

Robert L. (Bob) Mills was born Sept. 2, 1937, in Burlington, Kansas, the only son of Arthur R. and Thelma Esch Mills.

He attended high school in Chillicothe, Missouri, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps and then in the U.S. Air Force, receiving honorable discharges and several commendations, including a certificate of recognition from the U.S. Secretary of Defense.

He married Margaret Hill on May 27, 1961, at Lowrey Air Force Base in Texas. He graduated from the University of Missouri following military service and immediately joined FMC Corporation as a design engineer at Pocatello, Idaho. He was later named FMC Corporate Electrical Energy Manager and worked in New York City and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He later returned to Pocatello where he held the additional position of Plant Energy Manager until his retirement in 1995.

He was a member of the Episcopal Church and was very interested in spirituality. He was active in community affairs, serving as a Cable TV Comm-issioner, a member of the Sister Cities Foundation, a Trustee of FMC for Idaho, a member of the Ft. Hall Old Timer’s and Children’s Rodeo Comm-ittee, a volunteer math tutor for several Idaho State University programs and a docent at the Idaho Museum of Natural History. He was a member of Juniper Hills Country Club and a former member of its Board of Directors and President. He enjoyed golf, traveling with his wife, fishing, hunting, reading and numerous hobbies.

Bob was the father of two children: David (Stephanie) of Kalispell and Alison (Brian) Whiteman of Parksburg, Pennsylvania, and the grandfather of four beautiful girls: Meghan, Haley, Brooke and Danielle.

He is survived by his wife, his children and grandchildren, as well as by his two sisters: Marsha of Moscow Mills, Missouri, and Evelyn of Fulton, Missouri.

He was laid to rest on Palm Sunday in the columbarium at Christ Church.
