Eric Lee Powell, 50

Eric Lee Powell, age 50, passed away in his sleep of a heart attack on April 1, 2020.

Eric was born Nov. 6, 1969, in Kalispell to Wayne M. and Gayle (Siefke) Powell.

The last few years Eric struggled with health problems, but he found joy in fishing, as well as hunting with his father. He was an excellent cook, always making meals for others, something his mother will miss very much.

At one time Eric worked for Plum Creek Timber, but with his cooking skills he joined his brother Kirk making meals for those working in the oil fields of North Dakota. After returning home he worked for the Montana Club until his health declined.

Eric had much love in his heart for his family and friends, which he was always eager to express, making his passing so very difficult on us all, especially his teenage son Cameron and three brothers.

Eric is leaving behind his mother, Gayle Parker; father, Wayne Powell; brothers Mike and Kirk, both of Kalispell; his youngest brother John of Texas; son Cameron (his almost constant companion); Levi, Tyler and baby Aubrie.

As per Eric’s wishes a gathering of family and friends will take place at Flathead Lake at a later date in remembrance of Eric.
