No. 26916 Notice is hereby given that regular* registration for elections to be held on May 5, 2020 will close at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2020. To register to vote, or to update your name, address, or other voter information, submit the voter registration application to the county elections office. You may obtain an application by calling the elections office at 406-758-5536 or downloading the application online at www.flathead.mt.gov/elections. The application must be signed before being submitted to the elections office. *If you miss this regular registration deadline, you may still late-register for and vote in the election by showing up at the county election office up to and including on Election Day. Between noon and the close of business on the day before Election Day, you can complete and submit a voter registration card, but you will need to return to the local election office on Election Day or in some cases the school district office to pick up and vote a ballot. The following special purpose district elections will be held on May 5, 2020: Badrock Rural Fire District, Big Mountain County Sewer District and Hungry Horse County Water District. The following school districts are scheduled to hold a May 5, 2020 election; however their elections may be cancelled if trustee positions are not contested and there are no other ballot issues to vote on: Swan River School, Bigfork Elementary and High School, Columbia Falls Elementary and High School, West Valley Elementary, Pleasant Valley, Marion, Smith Valley, Marion, Helena Flats, Evergreen, Deer Park, Fair-Mont Egan, Creston, Cayuse Prairie, Kila, Somers, Kalispell Elementary, Flathead High School, Olney/Bissell, Flathead Valley Community College, Whitefish Elementary and High School. All active and inactive**electors who reside in the school/special purpose district holding an election may vote in that district's election. In a water and/or sewer district election, an elector need not be registered to vote provided they meet voter qualifications and are a resident of the district or an owner of property in the district that has provided written proof of their qualifications to the elections office by April 10. Active registered voters in the district will be automatically mailed a ballot. Nonregistered electors must provide their qualifications and request a ballot. The form to do so is available online at https://flathead.mt.gov/election/downloads.php. In a fire district or fire service area election, any holder of title to lands within the district who presents proof of payment of taxes to the election office is eligible to vote in the election, in addition to the registered voters of the district. Active registered voters in the district will be automatically mailed a ballot. Nonregistered electors must provide proof of payment of taxes and request a ballot. The form to do so is available online at https://flathead.mt.gov/election/downloads.php . ** For districts holding a mail ballot election, ballots will be automatically mailed to registered electors with an active status by April 15, 2020. For districts holding a polling place election, ballots will be mailed to absentee voters only on April 15, 2020. No. 26940 PROCLAMATION Budget Amendment Proclamation Evergreen School District Flathead County At a regular meeting of the board of trustees of School District No. 50, Flathead County, Montana, held April 8, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. at 18 W. Evergreen Drive, Kalispell, Montana, the following resolution was introduced: WHEREAS, the trustees of School District No. 50, Flathead County, Montana, have made a determination that as a result of unforeseen needs, the District's budget for the tuition fund does not provide sufficient financing to properly maintain and support the district for the entire current school fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the trustees have determined that an amendment to the state elementary tuition fund budget in the amount of $80,380.61 is necessary under the provision of Section 20-9-161, subsection (6), MCA; for the purpose of special education student related needs; and WHEREAS, the anticipated source of financing the budget amendment expenditures shall be the FY 21 levy; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of School District No. 50, Flathead County, Montana, proclaims a need for an amendment to the tuition fund budget for fiscal year 20 in the amount of $80,380.61 under Section 20-9-161, subsection (6), MCA, for the purpose identified above, and; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of School District No. 50, Flathead County, Montana, will meet at 6:30 p.m. at 18 W.
