Aubrie Rademacher, a standout senior basketball player for the Glacier Wolfpack, will continue her hoops career at Montana Tech in Butte.

The 5-foot-11 Rademacher was first-team all-Western AA and All-State for the Wolfpack, which went 12-12 this past season.

She averaged 14.2 points and 8.0 rebounds as a senior, and ended her career with a 15-point, 23-rebound performance in a 43-38 elimination win over Bozeman at the State AA tournament. State tournaments across the state were canceled before the final day of competition because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The rebound total is a single-game school record, breaking the 21 snared by Cassidy Hashley.

“We are excited to add Aubrie to the Digger family,” Tech head coach Carly Sanon said in a Monday release from the Frontier Conference school. “She is a long, athletic guard who competes on both ends of the court.”

Rademacher, a standout in volleyball and track and field as well, has been Academic All-State 10 times. “She is a fit both athletically and academically,” Sanon said of the senior, who plans to major in chemistry.

“I was talking a little bit to MSU-Northern, but Tech had been in contact for a couple months,” Rademacher said Tuesday. “I was thinking that was where I want to be. The academics there are amazing.

“I essentially made my mind up after the state tournament – I wanted to keep pursuing my dream of playing college basketball. Not a tough decision.”

Tech also signed Kasidi Walker out of Glendive, a 6-foot forward that averaged 6.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.5 rebounds per game this winter.

The Orediggers went 14-17 last season, including a 4-14 mark in the Frontier – tied with MSU-Northern for last in the league.
