Marvin Duane Schelling, 88

Marvin Duane Schelling, 88, Columbia Falls, formerly from Mohall, North Dakota, passed away April 3, 2020, peacefully at home.

Cremation took place at Darlington Cremation and Burial Services, Kalispell.

Marv was born Jan. 20, 1932, in Renville Country, North Dakota, to Bob and Laura Schelling. He attended country schools and Mohall Public school. He was united in marriage to Jeanette Schweitzer, Tolley, North Dakota, on April 22, 1953.

Marv was as a land surveyor for oil companies in several states. In 1966, they purchased the A&W drive-in at Whitefish. He later went into construction until he retired.

His survivors include his wife of 67 years; children, Randy, Connie, Lori, Julie, Bob and Todd; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Ken, Dick and Jim; and sister, Pearl.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Eugene and Gary; and a great-grandchild.
