Roy Lee Nielson, 62
Roy Lee Nielson was born in Murray, Utah on July 15, 1957, to Joseph and ReNee Nielson. Roy passed away while in the presence of loving family on April 22, 2020, in Kalispell.
After high school, he went into the Army. Roy was released with an honorary discharge. He then attended trade school and graduated as a mason.
Roy married the love of his life, Debbie, on Sept. 22, 1978. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for 15 years while at the same time doing masonry work.
Roy coached little league baseball and also played on the Murray softball league in Utah. In 1999 he moved to Kalispell with this family. He worked as a mason for an additional 15 years. Roy was the guy that was only a phone call away, the one that was always there to help, no matter what.
The love Roy had for his beautiful special needs daughter, Katie, was a love like no other. He was so proud of his sons, Joe and Jeff, for starting their own business, Rock on the Wall Masonry. They followed in his footsteps as masons.
No matter what, Roy was always there for his family and friends. He had the biggest heart for the people in his life.
