Glacier Park’s boat tours canceled for 2020

Due to uncertainties surrounding the novel coronavirus, officials with Glacier Park Boat Company have decided its boats will remain docked for the upcoming season and will be canceling any tours that have been booked for 2020.

The company made the announcement earlier this week on its Facebook page, highlighting the “unprecedented worldwide impact” that COVID-19 has taken on their business and others. According to the post, customers with reservations for the upcoming season will have the opportunity to receive a 10% discount if they transfer their reservations to 2021, or receive a full refund without cancellation fees. For those looking to visit Glacier National Park in 2021, the company is also offering a 10% discount on reservations made from May 1 through Sept. 7 of this year.

“As we work together with Glacier National Park, our customers and local communities, we look forward to brighter days ahead and new adventures for the 2021 season,” the post states.

Glacier Park Boat Company’s legacy in the park dates back to 1938 and for more than 75 of those years has been owned and operated by the Burch family. The company offers tours from its small fleet of five classic wooden boats that are stationed on popular park destinations, including Lake McDonald and Two Medicine Lake.
