Wil Griswold, 23
Wil Griswold, 23, was born July 26, 1997, and passed away Sunday, Aug. 16 2020.
Wil grew up in Kalispell. He participated in all the kid sports, football, basketball, soccer, baseball and wrestling. Golf was his favorite sport. He enjoyed golfing with his dad and brother. He loved being outdoors, catching bugs, spiders and snakes. He was baptized, made his First Communion, and was confirmed at St. Matthew’s Church. His mom taught him to ski; he taught himself to snowboard. He graduated from Linderman Education Center in 2015.
Wil’s heart was in the arts, photography, music and videography. Wil loved talking politics, conspiracy theories, and religion with his mom. He also loved to watch an original movie with his dad. His sanctuary was Tori and Cameron’s house. He turned his passions into business ventures with Cardinal Connections, Gold Soul Visuals and Cardinal Construction. His latest venture was dirt biking; he built a dirt bike with Cade Marvin. He loved riding with his brother, Tyler and Jim Jacobs. Dirt biking put a smile on his face.
He was the best uncle to his 10 nieces and nephews. They explored the wilderness, taking photos and videos of all their adventures together.
He was preceded in death by grandpas, John Mears, Ray Lambert and Roy Griswold; grandmother, Wanda Lambert; and uncles, Dan Mears, Luke Mears and Rod Young.
He is survived by his mom and dad, Randy and Jenny Griswold; siblings, Angie (Cory), Tyler (Stacia ”Tyler’s girlfriend”), Tori (Cameron Blake), and Samantha; nieces and nephews, Gabrielle, Ava, Landon, Gavin, Bella, Piper, Nolan, Lincoln, Lennon,and Bentley;and his best friend, Tyryn, whom he truly loved. Many aunts and uncles also survive Wil.
“Gold Souls Last Forever”
A vigil and rosary will begin at 6 p.m. today, Aug. 20, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home. A funeral will be held Friday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m. at St. Matthew’s gym. Burial will take place Friday at 3 p.m. at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery and a reception will follow at 4 p.m. at the Eagles in Kalispell.
