Beccari, Rendina first-team All-State for AA football

Glacier’s Rocco Beccari and Jake Rendina were selected first-team All-State for Class AA by the league’s coaches, it was announced Friday.

Between the first and second teams and honorable mention coaches honored 87 spots on offense and nearly that many on defense.

Beccari, a 250-pound two-way lineman who was selected at offensive tackle, and Rendina, a 230-pound junior who led Class AA in rushing yards and touchdowns, were the lone Kalispell players to make first team.

Beccari was also selected second-team All-State as a defensive lineman; four more members of the Wolfpack, who went 6-3 and lost in the playoff quarterfinals, were honorable mention.

They were: Punter Patrick Rohrbach, tight end Luke Bilau, defensive end Ethan Diede and safety Tyler Hausmann.

Flathead was represented by Alec Thomas, an honorable mention pick at inside linebacker.

State champion Missoula Sentinel again dominated the teams, and had the offensive and defensive most valuable players: Quarterback Camden Sirmon and linebacker Geno Leonard. In all Sentinel had 11 players - including quarterbacks Sirmon and Dayton Bay - selected first-team on offense and seven more on defense. Several made it at two positions and ce Klucewich was first-team at athlete, punt returner and safety.

State runner-up Billings West had four first-team selections on offense and five on defense.
