It's OK to feed the birds in C-Falls
Someone stopped at the Columbia Falls Police Department to see if the same restrictions in place in Kalispell for feeding the birds applied to parks in Columbia Falls. The person was cleared to feed away.
Someone called the department because he said early morning construction work was against code. But, according to those in charge, the workers were following the law.
A caller getting propane reported another man who was also getting fuel was “gassed” and drove away headed to the green box site.
A running vehicle parked at an apartment complex drew the attention of a caller who reported people in the backseat getting very intimate. An officer determined the couple did live at the complex, but said they would take their activities elsewhere.
An accidental 911 call was the result of a person trying to take a screenshot.
A caller reported three people inside a vehicle “shooting up.” Unfortunately, one of them got out and brought a baby into the vehicle. When law enforcement became involved, a woman ended up being dropped off at the hospital, an arrest warrant for one of them was confirmed, the vehicle was towed and the child was moved to a more secure environment.
A woman visiting her great grandmother hit the side button too many times, activating an emergency call.
In Whitefish, a woman walking her puppy the Whitefish Police Department a golden retriever attacked her canine after the young dog tried to sniff the older dog. She said the puppy suffered a gash above an eyebrow and a bloody nose. She said the golden’s owner, a tall man with long, dark hair and wearing glasses, laughed when his dog attacked her puppy. Officers planned to increase patrols in the park.
Someone reported a barking dog being left in a truck for several days. When an officer checked, he found the owner taking the dog for a walk around the neighborhood. The animal appeared healthy and happy. He said he keeps the dog in a kennel in the truck at night because his girlfriend is allergic to it.
Someone locked the keys in a Jeep Patriot parked in the driveway, but an officer soon arrived to help.
A coughing transient sleeping in a hallway was moved along.
