Carol Jean Herring, 71

Carol Jean Herring was born in North Dakota, on Dec. 27, 1948, to Art Thingstad and Viola Seney Sundgren. She was a lifelong resident of Kalispell. Carol passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 1, 2020, at the age of 71.

Carol is survived by her two sons, Howard Trainer, John Trainer and his wife Ashley of Kalispell; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Kinyon, her husband, Clare, of Kalispell; sister, Donna Ten Eyck; multiple nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Viola Sundgren, father Irwin Thingstad, stepfather Art Sundgren, brother Ronald Thingstad, sister Betty Thingstad and great-granddaughter Katie Jean Trainer.

Carol loved camping and fishing. She will be remembered for her love of adventure and her giving spirit.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
