Man nearly run over, not by reindeer

A man told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office he was in his garage when a woman showed up, started yelling at him and then tried to run him over with her vehicle.

A woman was scammed out of $750 she paid by phone to callers from New York who claimed to represent Publishers’ Clearing House. She said she sent the money “for tax purposes.”

A man said he was scared after a woman got out of pre-release and asked him for money. Apparently, he had previously given her more than $100,000. He told the Sheriff’s Office he was scared she would hurt him if he didn’t give her more money. He was advised to refuse to give her more money and let the authorities know if the woman retaliated.

A 91-year-old woman lost her wallet at a gas station, and her daughter called around trying to figure out which gas station had the wallet.

A driver in Columbia Falls reportedly cut off another driver, brake-checked the other driver and then spit on his vehicle.

A man caught two people trying to steal a package from his front porch, thanks to a camera on his front door. His wife apparently scared away the would-be thieves.

A man suspected the property owner at a location where he had parked a trailer stole items out of the trailer. However, he admitted he had “no substantial proof or evidence that the male committed the theft.”
