Flathead sweeps Big Sky, Libby edges C-Falls
Junior guard/forward player Hunter Hickey scored 26 points, 18 coming in the third quarter as Flathead picked up its second Western AA boys’ basketball victory.
Behind Hickey the Braves (3-9, 2-6 in league) pushed a 29-25 halftime lead out to 53-38. Gabe Adams added 12 points for Flathead, five coming in the fourth quarter. Joston Cripe scored another 10 points.
Ben Maehl scored 22 to lead the Eagles (0-13, 0-9). Tre Reed added 12 points, including three 3-pointers.

Drew Engellant poured in 14 points but the Glacier Wolfpack couldn’t keep up with Missoula Sentinel’s scoring attack in a Western AA game.
Glacier falls to 7-5 overall and 4-4 in league play.
Alex Germer put up 30 points for Sentinel (10-2, 6-2), who led 42-27 at the half and kept rolling.
KJ Johnson added 11 points for Glacier.

MISSOULA — Missoula Sentinel’s Challis Westwater scored eight of her 15 points in the final quarter to help the Spartans rally past Glacier.
Aubrie Rademacher had a game-high 18 points for the Wolfpack, and Ellie Keller chipped in with 11. It was the second narrow loss to the Spartans for the Pack.
“The entire team was focused and tenacious for 32 minutes,” Glacier coach Amanda Cram said after her squad fell to 5-7, 3-5 in the Western AA. “We didn’t win this battle, but our compass is still pointed True North and we are determined to keep surprising the competition.”
