Hungry Horse man jailed for alleged narcotics possession
Robert W. Rigsbee, 52, of Hungry Horse, was arrested and booked in the Flathead County jail Wednesday afternoon for alleged felony possession of narcotics, according to a press release from the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s detectives served a warrant at a residence on River Drive in Hungry Horse for numerous firearms suspected to be stolen in a recent string of burglaries. Due to the high-risk nature of the search warrant, the Flathead County SWAT Team and Kalispell SRT served the warrant for the Detective’s Division, the Sheriff’s Office said. Additional resources from the patrol division and Adult Protective Services also assisted in the investigation.
Detectives seized 28 firearms, as well as numerous pieces of narcotics paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine. In addition to Rigsbee’s arrest, an elderly female was also removed from a residence and taken into protective custody by Adult Protective Services.
“This search warrant is the culmination of a collaborative effort over the previous week between the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and Civil Division, Flathead County Planning and Zoning, Kalispell Police Department, Adult Protective Services and private citizens to deal with an identified crime and quality of life issue in Hungry Horse,” the press release stated.
