Lavonne Burgard's art featured in new FVCC exhibit

Flathead Valley Community College’s Art Department will host an exhibit opening Tuesday, Feb. 11, featuring pieces by Kalispell artist Lavonne Burgard. Free and open to the public, the opening will run from 4 to 6 p.m. in the gallery on the lower level of the Arts and Technology Building. Light refreshments will be served.

Burgard holds degrees in fine arts and arts education from Drake University. She taught art for more than 30 years in Iowa, Arizona, South Dakota, Australia and Kalispell. Her paintings have appeared in various galleries, with a selection currently hanging at Walkingman Gallery in Whitefish.
