Hungry Horse man has seen too much
A Hungry Horse man told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office he believed he was “being targeted.” He said he “saw things he shouldn’t have seen” and as a result “he was poisoned…and had to give hair follicles.” Law enforcement determined he wasn’t “currently in any danger” and he was advised to get assistance from family and friends.
A property owner reported a tenant with a felony warrant, and then told dispatchers he saw the tenant climb out a window. The tenant was located.
A couple reported items stolen from their vehicle on Montana 35, and video footage at the location showed “two subjects ransacked a bunch of cars in the place.”
Someone called about a man who drank “two pints of rum and a small bottle” of sleep medicine. His roommate checked on him and said he was OK and sleeping.
A man who occasionally borrows another man’s “very squeaky” truck apparently took it without permission. The truck owner said he “heard through the grapevine” the driver might be taking it to Spokane.
A driver reported a “reckless logging truck” headed north on Montana 206.
Another driver called about someone driving 60 mph in a 25 mph zone in Columbia Falls. The person who reported the speeding motorist said the reckless driver was following him and when he turned into a gas station, the driver “came back for him.” Officers met up with the wild driver and apparently counseled him.
A Columbia Falls resident complained that the dog at a nearby location “barks and barks.” An officer spoke with the dog owner on the phone.
A pug-chihuahua mix was apparently thrown from a vehicle in an accident in Lakeside and had not been located by the next day.
A car was left with the keys in the ignition and the door ajar for multiple hours in Kalispell. An officer spoke with the vehicle owner.
Someone said a truck driver passed multiple vehicles, including a school bus, in a “no-passing zone.”
A man was going in and out of a restaurant, “acting impaired.” Apparently he and a woman were “going to eat but the male lost his wallet.” An employee there said the man is a “known tweaker” and he believed if he left in his “impaired” state, “he will kill someone.”
A homeowner said his brother was attempting to break into his house looking for bank cards. When the brother found out law enforcement had been called, he left on foot.
A property owner told the Sheriff’s Office he had an ongoing issue “with three cows coming onto his property” around 2 a.m. He said he didn’t know where the cows were coming from. His complaint was sent to the state brand inspector.
A man said he was scammed out of $500 after someone claiming to be a federal agent asked him to put the money on two separate gift cards to an appliance store.
