Ellen Lehman, 64

Ellen Lehman, 64, was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord on Dec. 22, 2019.

Ellen Lehman was born June 13, 1955, in San Francisco. She was adopted by Ezra and Marjorie Birky of Kalispell. She was raised in Kalispell and graduated from Flathead High School in 1973. She was very involved in her church where she grew up with many close friends from Mountain View Mennonite Church in Creston.

After graduating from high school, Ellen became a service volunteer for Mennonite Central Community in Eureka, Illinois, where she met her husband, Del Lehman. They were married in 1975 and had three children. They returned to the Flathead to raise their children and they later divorced. Ellen loved to read, cook and host parties. She was always on the go.

Ellen moved to Brookings, Oregon, to enjoy her retirement. She loved the ocean and the salty air.

She is survived by her brothers, Ian (Bev) Birky and Michael (Marie) Birky, sister Susan Birky, and her children Corbin (Lindsey) Lehman, Sarah (Jon) Parkman and Trisha (Eric) Harding, six beautiful grandchildren and many more friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Marjorie Birky, her brothers Philip and Vance Birky, and nephew Braydon Birky.
