Canadians take party on the road

A caller told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that drivers with Alberta plates were seen passing beer bottles back and forth between two moving vehicles on U.S. 93.

A man threw a female bartender on the ground while he was apparently out looking for his missing chocolate lab. A neighbor saw a different dog that they thought was a chocolate lab running around and knocking over trash cans. Its owner said it had jumped the fence the night before, but then he told law enforcement the dog was back in its dog house in the backyard. It turned out to be a “silver lab.”

Multiple people were seen hanging out by a vehicle, including a man with a flashlight and a woman with a “purple-pink purse,” and the person who reported them thought the activity might be drug-related.

An old-fashioned caller said he has a flip phone and he accidentally hit an emergency button on the outside of it, calling 911.

A man was reported for walking along the highway carrying a stick with a knife on the end of it.

Someone working on a barn was suspicious when he saw tracks leading to the barn even though the homeowner was out of town. The caller and his assistant paced the property with firearms until they learned the tracks came from guests who were there for a wedding.

A five-gallon bucket of white paint was found in the middle of U.S. 2 and Montana 206. It was picked up.

A man called about “trying to capture some cats.” He was given cat traps but was told it was his responsibility to transport them to the shelter.

A homeowner was upset because a juvenile was riding a dirt bike. He said he spoke with the rider and he was “disrespectful.” The disrespected elder wanted “someone to talk to the juvenile.”

A Realtor said someone was stealing wood from the wood pile of a house she was trying to sell.

A woman said her garage doors were open and she didn’t know how that was possible. She suspected someone with a “universal opener” might have opened them and she asked about changing the “key.”

An elderly man was heard yelling at an elderly woman, but he apparently calmed down and “agreed to be nice for the rest of the day.”

A payment console at a car wash was damaged overnight.

A high school girl with bright blue hair apparently went missing after boarding the morning school bus with blankets and two backpacks.

Antlers and skulls were stolen from someone’s yard.
